Travel Route - Peru Holidays

Day 1 Arrival to Lima
Arrival at the International Jorge Chavez airport, welcome and transfer to the hotel

Day 2 Cusco City Tour
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport in Lima, to take the flight to Cusco. When you arrive to Cusco we will be waiting to bring you to your hotel for a restful and relaxing evening.
In the afternoon at the appropriate time we will meet you in the lobby of your hotel and start the tour. We will visit the main square or Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Coricancha or Temple of the Sun. Afterwards we will make our way outside the city to the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, PucaPucara and Tambomachay. After a tour of each location we will bring you back to your hotel for a restful evening.

Day 3 Sacred Valley Tour
After an early breakfast we will pick you up in the lobby of your hotel and bring you into the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop will be to visit the archaeological site and traditional market of Pisac. After your tour of Pisac we will make our way to Urubamba where you will enjoy a lovely lunch make with some of the many fresh products of the area.
After lunch we will make our way to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo where we will visit the ancient Inca archaeological sites and terraces. After the tour we will bring you to your Ollantaytambo hotel where you will enjoy a restful and relaxing evening.

Day 4 Inca Trail: Cusco - Km 82 - Huayllabamba
Early in the morning you will be picked up from the hotel and drive to Km 82 for approx. 3 hours, where the legendary Inca Trail starts, on the way you will enjoy of magnificent views of mountains such as La Veronica snow cap-mountain. This day the climbing is from 2,380m/7,808 to 3,100m/10,170f.

Hiking time: 6 to 7 hours approx.

Day 5 Inca Trail: Huayllabamba - Pacaymayo
This day is the hardest one in the whole hiking because we climb up to the highest point at 4200m/11,3780f in Warmi Wañusca pass (meaning “Dead woman’s pass).

Day 6 Inca Trail: Pacaymayo – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñay Huayna
The third day is one of the most beautiful ones, nice walk through the challenging ecosystem and the tropical forest of Wiñaywayna; this day there are a lot more descents than ascents.
The nearest settlement is named Phuyupatamarca 3,600m/11,811f, a place where one can enjoy impressive Inca engineering. After that, we will visit the settlement of Wiñaywayna “Forever young” 2,650m/86,94f), which is also the last camping site

Day 7 Inca Trail: Wiñay Huayna – Machu Picchu – Cusco
Very early in the morning we head towards the Sun Gate (or Inti Punku) at 2,740 mts / 9,042ft, the entrance to Machu Picchu from the Inca trail, this path is using flashlights. Once we have reached Machu Picchu, we will visit the citadel and enjoy its spiritual charm during a guided tour for about 1 – 1½ hours. Thereafter, you will have enough time to explore and take the best photos of this wonder world. Then, we take a bus for about 25 minutes down to Aguas Calientes town.
Machu Picchu is considered one of the most extraordinary examples of landscapes architecture in the world, and it is located at the top of the mountain with the same name at 2,430m where was built the extraordinary city, surrounded by agricultural terraces, water natural springs with stairways and canals carved out of stone are recurrent throughout this remarkable archaeological site.
After your tour you will have some extra free time before returning to the train station for your train and transfer back to the hotel in Cusco.

Huaynapicchu Mountain - Machu Picchu:

  • Entrance fee for HuaynaPicchu Mountain: Additional cost of $20.00 per person if the confirmation is at time of the booking. If the confirmation is received after the time of booking a full entrance fee with Huayan Picchu must be purchased at the cost of $80.00 per person. Also it depends of availability, there is two schedules 7:00am and 10:00am (To visit the first schedule may be necessary to travel the night before to Aguas Calientes and spend the night there).
