Day 1 April 9th Arrival to Lima
Arrival at the International Jorge Chavez airport, welcome and transfer to the hotel

Day 2 April 10th Lima City
Palm Sunday:
In the morning you will attend the “Domingo de Ramos” celebration where you will witness the Blessing of the Palm Cross hand made by the local Peruvians.
City tour of Lima; In the afternoon you will visit the traditional residential neighborhood of San Isidro, Miraflores. Then enjoy a tour of Huaca Pucllana, an adobe pyramid structure dating back more than 4,000 years. You will then the visit the colonial center of Lima, including the main Plaza, the Main Cathedral, the Convent of San Francisco, the beauty architecture of Plaza San Martín and many other highlights of old town Lima.

Day 3 April 11th Lima - Cusco / Cusco City & Procession of Lord of the Earthquakes
Holy Monday:
Early in the morning transfer from the hotel to the airport for you way to Lima. (Local Flight is not included). Arrival in Cusco, welcome and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the morning free. Early in the afternoon you will enjoy a walking tour of Cusco visiting the beautiful neighborhood of San Blas and the small narrow cobblestone streets of Cusco.
Afterward you will witness the Procession of the Lord of Earthquakes, the biggest and most colorful procession with many rites and faith by the followers of the Catholic tradition.
Additional Info: The procession of the Lord of the Earthquakes. Cusco, the capital of the Incas, celebrates the big procession every Holy Week. A sculpture of the image of black Jesus who was sent by the King Carlos V, whom legend says stopped a major earthquake in 1650. Ever since the locals have revered the statue as a staple of their faith in the strength of Jesus Christ.

Day 4 April 12th Sacred Valley / Meeting Andean Local Community
After breakfast you will start your tour outside Cusco city, visiting the great Sacsayhuaman and Qenqo archaeological sites.
Afterward you will continue to Pisaq archaeological site, perched atop a mountain overlooking the Sacred Valley. You will then continue to visit a remote Andean community where you will witness many of the traditional activities such as agriculture, textile process and others.
After visiting the community you will enjoy a delicious lunch hand made with fresh local ingredients. On the way back to your hotel we will stop at the Pisac Market where you will have the opportunity to purchase locally made handicrafts.

Day 5 April 13th Sacred Valley Tour - Traditional Holy Thursday dishes / Aguas Calientes
Holy Thursday:
After an early breakfast we will take you to Ollantaytambo. The first visit will be to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, an ancient Inca Fortress and terraces. Afterward we will explore the narrow streets and ancient houses of Ollantaytambo which still features the original walls and city organization originally designed by the ancient Inca.
After exploring the town we will have the opportunity to experience the traditional meal of the 12 Dishes, representing the 12 apostles.
At the appropriate time we will bring you to the Train Station for your Expedition Train to Aguas Calientes. The train will follow the Vilcanota River for approximately 1½ hr. When you arrive a representative from you hotel will be waiting to help you with your luggage, escort you to your hotel and assist you with the check in process.

  • Additional Vistadome Train Service, more comfortable, with panoramic windows located beside and above your seat will bring you close to nature.
  • Additional Belmond Hiram Bingham Train Service, more exclusive and luxurious train, with an elegant dining car and a bar car.

Day 6 April 14th Machu Picchu Excursion
After breakfast we will meet you in the lobby of your hotel and bring you to the bus station for your train to the citadel of Machu Picchu. You will then enjoy a professional guided tour of one of the Modern Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu, one of the most mysterious and magical places in the world
After your tour you will have some extra free time to Explore before returning to the train station for your train and transfer back to the hotel in Cusco.
Later in the afternoon you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes and make your way to the train station for your train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy. When your train arrives we will be waiting to bring you back to your hotel in Cusco for a restful evening.
Optional in Machu Picchu:

  • Entrance fee to Hike the Huaynapicchu Mountain or the Machupicchu Mountain

Day 7 April 15th Moray and Maras salt mines
After breakfast we will pick you up in the lobby of your hotel and bring you into Moray and Maras. Moray the unique circular terraces from the Incas, considered as an agriculture lab. Maras salt mines; they has been exploited since the Incas time, interesting to see the process of extraction since the salt they get from the subterraneum river.
Today you will have a free afternoon to rest, relax and explore in the beautiful ancient capital of the Incas, do your lat souvenirs.

Day 8 April 16th Departure Cusco
At the appropriate time your transfer will pick you up and bring you to the Cusco Airport where you will catch your flight home.

Huaynapicchu Mountain - Machu Picchu:

  • Entrance fee for HuaynaPicchu Mountain: Additional cost of $20.00 per person if the confirmation is at time of the booking. If the confirmation is received after the time of booking a full entrance fee with Huayan Picchu must be purchased at the cost of $80.00 per person. Also it depends of availability, there is two schedules 7:00am and 10:00am (To visit the first schedule may be necessary to travel the night before to Aguas Calientes and spend the night there).
